Mia ragazza is sooooooo excited to tell you this that she didn't take the time to translate it to Italian!!! My uncle Michael (il fratello della mia ragazza!) is in Acqui Terme today!! I, Lucia, tried to jump into Zio Michael's suitcase so I could visit with all of you, but Delta AIRElines doesn't allow doggies to travel that way. Booooooooo!!! Zio Michael is bringing back special treats from Italy for me!! Yayyyyyy!! I hope he is bringing us Paco, Milo, Maya and Simona!!! Muahhhhhh!

Si, si! Mio zio (Michael) is in Acqui Terme today. He just telephoned mia ragazza from the Oliveri store in Acqui (one of her favorite places in Acqui) to ask what treats he should bring back for her ... carciofi, porcini, mmmmmmmm!!!

PS: Simona, my brother works for a company in the US that has an office in Vado Ligure. I asked him to drive to Acqui today to go to the Oliveri store there. The family was very, very kind when I visited their store a few years ago with a cooking school group I was with. I have always remembered them!!!
We have been to their site and have sent them our love and prayers.

I've been to Italy three times in the past seven years; it's my favorite place in all of the world! (The first time my plane landed in Genova, I cried and cried -- I was so happy to be there!!)
